Version: GhostSurf 2007 Platinum 4.5.2
Pros: Surfing speed is OK in secure mode. when it works.
Cons: I have used previous versions of this product with reasonable success, but this version caused my Vista system to become unstable after install. The secure web surfing proxy worked briefly until I installed the latest windows updates from Microsoft. I was forced to remove this software to even get my system to boot after that. Tried to re-install with no success. Product shows evidence of sloppy coding and poor QC. Software makes various references to previous versions (2005 & 2006) of the product during install and in use. There are other issues as well, but it is not worth listing at this point. In general, I'm very disappointed with the quality of this product and I would not recommend it even if you are still running XP.

"Nightmare for average home user"
Cons: This is the worst security program I ever used. It bogged down my system to a crawl. It nullified my other security software, and blocked even the most simple applications. Unless your an extremely tech oriented person, with exceptional customizing skills, avoid this thing like the plague!

"Perfect for downloading big files"
Pros: Almost all other proxy-programs use public proxys to do theyr work, and if you have try to download big files (+30mb) by public proxys you can notice that they froze at 5 or 10mb of download cuz they are made to navigate an not to download, also limit you bandwith to save for all the users -only if you got a fast one, normals should go fine(-256kb/s)-
This progam uses its own list of proxys, making the limits go off for you, you can download big files (i usually donwload 170-300mb files without any problem) an got your speed untoched..
besides JetAudio (media player) this is one of the few programs i have actually pay for. you will get what i mean when you get used to download big files from those online storing sites that usually would limit you for only a few downloads a day
Cons: -The 30 days version, but you can fix it with a little money xD
-Also that you need to restart the program (not the windows) to get a new proxy-ip, an the proxy-ip is not chooseable nor many either.

Cons: After I installed in onto my computer (windows XP) it caused my system to be very unstable. The secure web surfing worked but when I updated Windows and Trend Micro the system locked up. When I removed the software it prompted a message stating that any viruses-spyware-etc.. that was found using Ghostsurf would be restored if software is removed. I didn't have a virus before I purchased it because I have Trend Micro. There were no viruses found on the log records so I removed it. My system would not boot after that. I DO NOT recommend this product to anyone.
