Publisher's description
From Runtime Software :GetDataBack is highly advanced data-recovery software that will help you get your data back when your drive's partition table, boot record, or FAT/MFT or root directory is corrupt or lost; when a virus has hit the drive; when files are deleted; or when the drive is struck by a power failure. GetDataBack can even recover your data when the drive is no longer recognized by the operating system or when all directory information is lost. Advanced algorithms will make sure all directories and subdirectories are put together as they were, and that long filenames are reconstructed correctly. GetDataBack is safe because it's read-only, which means the program will never attempt to write to the drive you are about to recover. The software enables the regular user to conduct his or her own data recovery by guiding the user through five easy-to-understand steps, thus giving the advanced user the ability to interfere with the recovery and improve the results by examining the scan log.

"Very useful for unreadable disks"
Summary: I work in an IT company and someone had left in a key stick that was unreadable. They likely forgot to perform the "Safely remove hardware" before pulling out the stick. Once the stick was plugged back in, Windows showed "This disk is not formatte... read more >>

"The only tool that helped us to restore critical business data"
Pros: After a severe crash of a RAID storage system due to a faulty RAID controller a 700 GB data partition had disappeared and critical business data was lost.
A professional company offered recovery for $ 15.000.
We first used runtime's RaidReconstructor to write an image file of the data to a second system and then used GetDataBackNT to find the lost partition. After processing the image file GetDataBack showed us ALL lost files in the partition; recovery of the files was then a breeze.
We would like to emphasize that runtime's support was outstanding. Reconstructing the RAID was a challenging task and runtime's support emails helped us with many specific hints without which we could not have solved the problem of the raid reconstruction. They answered our mails even on weekends and did a great job. Highly recommended.

Version: GetDataBack Data Recovery 2.31
"Recovered my 2003 income tax files!"
Pros: When my hard drive crashed and I had not backed up my income tax files for 2003, I lost them. Since I file electronically, I struggled for weeks trying to recreate all the pre-existing data for my 2004 tax return. Many of the entries were calculated by the tax software and I was at a loss as to how to calculate them correctly. I knew errors would be flagged and could result in an audit. I started calling companies who provide data recover services and was quoted outrageous prices of up to $10,000! In desperation I turned to one of our IS guys at work who offered to take my hard drive and using GetDataBack was able to recover my 2003 tax file. As you can imagine, I was overwhelmed with relief. This software literally saved us financially and legally! I had to get this software for myself because hard drive crashes have happened to me before and I am not very good at keeping up with backups on a regular basis. I thank God for the people who created this software and made it available to the average computer user like me. If you use a computer and have data you can't afford to lose, I highly recommend it, especially for busy folks who don't get to do regular backups.
Cons: What cons? I don't know of any. It's user friendly and extremely effective at performing it's intended purpose - recovering data.

"Fantastic product, don't hesitate to use"
Pros: my second hard drive was formatted by a stupid technician who didn't read the work order. I had photos, documents and music (6.1GB of data)backed up on that drive. This program allowed me to test what could be recovered, and the quality of that recovered data. I didn't have to pay for the program until I knew my data was all still there, then the unlock key was given to me, and a few minutes later I was busy recovering files. It was super easy to use, and did exactly what it promised. I got back every single photo, document and mp3 file. I couldn't believe how simple it was and even a novice should have no trouble with this program. Use it, you won't be sorry.
