Version: GetDataBack Data Recovery for NTFS
Pros: I work in the physical security industry servicing access control systems. We had a client that owned a high rise building with an extensive computer driven system that crashed and of course no backups were made! This would have taken 2 men a whole week to try and recreate the access control database that was needed to get them back up and running. I downloaded this software on a Friday afternoon (yes a Friday afternoon!) and was able to extract the old database from the old hard drive that the PC system wouldn't even recognize and had the reinstalled software running with the existing DB in a couple of hours. This software really does work!(at least it did for me!)
Cons: You have to remember that this is a trial version that you download and if you need to copy files from the recovery process, you need to pay for the registration. Still worth every penny as opposed to a week of mapping out a sizable access systeml.

Version: GetDataBack Data Recovery for NTFS
"It works great, it just didn't work for me."
Summary: I have four NTFS formatted drives setup in a RAID array. It has worked for me in the past, the files show up names and associations, but they don't work. Even the existing files don't work from the recovered files folder. I would venture to guess it ... read more
