• An excellent program for family trees

  You can do almost anything with this program; even show such things as character defects, addictions, illnesses etc. as well as producing spectacular family trees. It can be as simple or as complicated as you wish. Also provides individual "cards" with details listed.

  Cons

  I haven't done it but I suspect the diagrams could become visually difficult to read if you applied all the possible options.

  Summary

  If you are looking for a good genealogy program - buy this one.

  An excellent product, easy to use, complete traditional tree layout, great reporting features, helpful user forum.

  Cons

  The developers seem to have lost interest in it's development. No new releases for 2 years.

  Summary

  GenoPro is a great genealogy tool by any definition. Reasonably priced, easy to learn and use, comprehensive, sophisticated reporting features and unique in its ability to display a complete family tree n a traditional layout. There is an effective user forum available to help with any problems or offer suggestions. Unfortunately, there has been no new release since the 2007 version. The proposed "gamma" release is two years behind schedule with still no proposed implementation date or a future development plan.

  It was comprehensive, with a lot of actions you could take to be detailed, complete, extensive.

  For me, it was overwhelming and more than I wanted or needed.

  you can start right away without lots of reading, the additional features give you the possibility to add social relation ships, pictures etc at a later stage.

  I missed the possibility to make changes in text format, change size of symbols etc.

  any body who wants to set up a quick family tree with the intention to expand to a more in depth family structure in the future, would benefit from this program.

  Does exactly whats its suppose to do. Nice program with some major fixes from the version of several years ago.

  Unreasonably priced. This program is good but definitely not priced correctly. Some may say "if you don't like the price, don't buy it" but thats just an ignorant statement. If you went to the grocery store to buy some bread and it cost $50 you would complain and of course some idiot would say "then don't buy it". Well no crap idiot. The point is that you price things accordingly and this is about 80% over what it should be
