I did not find any pros
difficult to download, many games "not available yet"
The download is a pain in the butt. After you download it tells you that it had to update to the current version and that takes more time. Why not put the current version on the site to download in the first place? When you finally get in guess what? you have to download every game you want to play! That takes MORE time! Many of the slots are not even released yet! The place is empty maybe twenty people playing at any given time when I logged in. I think this was a college project that someone tried to make money from. Don't bother.
its a great site i like all the games :)
this is a great program if your stuck the 1990s and dont mind downloading programs to play games instead of the more convenient click-and-play of more sophisticated outlets like pogo.com. in this age of adware and spyware i dont download any games ever. pogo.com is much easier to navigate and has a much wider selection without being forced to download games.
the games are fun but very old!
They have been promising "new games coming first quarter of 2006" well its almost 2008 and one new game came out. whoooopeeeee! i'll save my money for pogo where its less to pay for membership, we get new games, and theres nothing to download
I like the slots, I can play by myself or with others if I want to. People are always friendly but not intrusive.
some of the non-paying customers complain too much
the pit's are great..the players are fantastic, and you can give comps to other players...
the owner has taken away the tourney's that drew me there in the first place..if you don't pay the 49.95 a year ..you have very few tournments, even if they say there are one's at 10,am 1pm,4pm,7pm,10pm 1am,4am &7am they very seldom honor that schedule..there are no really good prizes to be won..spin the wheel and you win points..usually less than what it cost you to spin the wheel..no new winners since 12/5/05...they need to give away gift cards
than maybe people will pay to play
the good thing about this site is the people, they are like a big family, and for most part fun to be around.
Mark the owner promises releases of new games but most of time, not released when promised. changes schedule of tourney's and does not keep those either unless your a paying patron.
No variety. I just downloaded this site three days ago. Wouldn't waste my money registering. No variety. Slots tournies seem to rule. Paigow and Red Dog played over and over and over again, even though they have several other card games. You ask a staff person about why they play this so many times and they blame it on their "supervisors" and the person making the schedule. They say they have no control over it. Don't waste your time or money at this site. Most of these reviews say how staff is very helpful. Maybe in how to do things on the site they are helpful but as for answering a simple question as to why its Paigow Red Dog Paigow Red Dog, they play the blame game.
Obviously the staff seem to like it. 98% of the reviews here are from staff of gamepipe.
Cater to slots players. Live tournaments are unfair. Although patrons have been promised over and over again that there will be the same amount of cards tournies as slots tournies it doesn't happy. If they are not policed, they will change the games and do slot tournies one right after the other. Even trying to make it fair, the head staff people of the tournament department can change the schedule. I have seen card tournies on the schedule and then an hour later go to read it again and the cards tournies have been changed to Hog Wild Slots or something. During the night hours, one of the staff always does slot slot slot and never rotates like they were told to do. Card players have been promised over and over again this would be fixed. It is fixed for a couple of weeks and than goes back to the same thing. Yesterday and today Red Dog has been played over and over again. The schedule was changed from Texas to Red Dog today. So when they finally do play cards, it looks like they play only the ones they like. Red Dog isn't a favorite game of the patrons, but the staff sure seem to like it.
I would like to say that 98% of the positive reviews here have been written by staff of gamepipe, so I guess they don't hold much truth for me.
