    "useless software"

    September 7, 2012  |   By Jbone1337

    Pros

-good for ignorant people who have no clue how to manage their computer...

    Cons

    -does nothing

    Summary

If you use msconfig.exe that is built into windows, to stop unnecessary processes from automatically starting when you load windows, and also go to services and disable ones you KNOW you dont need (id suggest hiding microsoft services with the check box).

Shutting down microsoft services will do almost nothing for performance. Since they use next to no resources unless they are actually being used at the time. (if they are being used at the time, then you need them for what you are doing).

If you manage your startup/services, this will literally do nothing for you.
Infact it will lower your gaming performance, as the gamebooster application is running and wasting cpu cycles lol

And depending on how crappy your computer is, you may want to consider disabling windows visual effects aswell.

So if you manually manage processes yourself, you get MORE of a boost to your games then wasting lots of cpu cycles with this application...

So what if you aren't a total computer nerd and don't know how to do all that stuff. This is a simple program and it does exactly what it says. I have a upper mid end computer that handles simple games easily but when could't quite handle the big first person shooter games and this made my frames per second go from between 10-15 up to 20-30. It was a big enough difference for me to notice. It doesnt even have to be games if you want to use youtube or anything that slows the computer down turn this on. You might turn away alot of people that a program like gamebooster could really help because your in a bad mood and take it out on a review forom
