"Useful for My Home Business"

Pros
I can either phone somebody just like I would normally with a phone or use my computer and open my Gmail contacts list to look up a customer and click to call them that way. My customer's names also show up on the phone display when they call me. Set up a ring schedule to automatically send calls outside normal works hours to voice mail.
Cons
At the moment, I can't think of anything negative.

"Free Home Phone Service That Still Rocks"

Pros
No longer receive a phone bill or pay a subscription. Uses my Gmail contacts list and displays the caller's name on my phone. The talking caller id is also great if I am in the next room watching TV but want to know who is calling.
Cons
None really. Works a lot better than my magic jack use to work.

Pros
The feature I like the most is that I was able to set it up to ring my mobile phone and my gvjack phone at the same time. The mobile phone coverage in my house is terrible so this was a good solution for me not to mention the fact that the phone calls are free.

"PERFECT !!! (Had To Use Latest Version From Publisher)"

Very easy to install and set up. I live in a basement apartment and have no cell phone coverage there at all. This is a perfect solution for me and no doubt is going to keep my cell phone bill down too.
Cons
All is good. Nothing to complain about.
Summary
Make sure you download the latest version. The one here was out of date.

"Free Phone Service & Better Than MajicJack"

Pros
The release posted here was not the latest one so I downloaded the updated version from their website. It was really easy to set up and works better than my old MajicJack. I was able to get a free vanity phone number from the list that Google Voice had available in my area. A big plus for me is the low Google Voice international calling rates to India and the fact that I can also use my same phone for Skype calls.
Cons
It would be nice if CNET always kept the latest release posted.

"Spent 3 hrs trying to get it to work"

NONE...I could not make outgoing calls.

I get dial tone but I cannot call out..no rings, nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled, read instructions again, looked in forums and googled for answers. Registered and posted in their forum, went back later to find it had been removed with no reply. Posted again and got a snide, condescending reply about the 'simple' instructions...he/she used the word 'simple' a few times, then said the 7 day trial was to determine if it worked and if not, well...that's that. Mine was one of a long list of complaints about malfunction of GVJack. They promote it as so easy, such high quality, all the features, etc. but seem annoyed when confronted with the recurring complaints of not being able to call out and other issues. I bought into the hype, wasted all evening, got myself worked up, and had no help from them at all.

"Perfect Fit For Our Office"

If I need to take a call on the way out of my office I'm able to transfer it from my new GVJACK phone to my cell by pressing the "*" key. In the office, we use Gmail contacts a lot for our clients and this phone solution is fully integrated with it. For us it means we know exactly which client is calling before we answer.
Cons
None. We are planning to set up one GVJACK phone for each of our staff to use with their laptops.
Summary
Wish this company was public. I would definitely buy shares.

"Yeah !!! Free Separate Phone Line For My Teen !!!"

Pros
My 16 year old literally ties up our home phone all evening and we can't afford a big cellphone plan for her. I just set this up with a magicJack I picked up off Ebay for $5 that had an expired subscription. She is using it and the service and calls are free !!!
Cons
Might put AT&T out of business because we are going to change our main home phone over to another one of these.

"Going to save me a bunch of money"

I stumbled onto this program and tried it out using a majicjack my sister said she was about to toss.
This works so well I am going to be able to dump my Vonage service and use all that money for something else. I also just figured out how to make it ring my cell phone at the same time so I don't have to burn my prepaid airtime minutes when somebody calls and I'm at the house.Cons
Need to have your computer on but since it rings my cell phone too I can power it off when I want and still have phone coverage.
Summary
Definitely worth taking a couple of minutes to try out.
