Version: GTK+ 2 Runtime Environment 2.10.13
"GIMP 2.4 now includes this software, no need to download separately"
Pros: (Previous GIMP versions needed this separately, it's now included in GIMP 2.4)

HOWEVER: GTK+ / GTK 2 / GTK.whom or whatev er the current version-- is NO LONGER particular to the G.I.M.P., but a vast, growing array of software which, far and away from that old stigma, succeeds as a promising brand. Think of the GTK "Framework" like a required update, enabling your access to many more great apps., but DON'T CONFUSE with a famously advertised Microsoft prod., prurient if not for prudish, proprietary-payware project propelled by pennies from your past, as Windollars passed-- where the real, limited use somehow exchanges for real money, the required toll at the bridge for those who've yet to learn freedom without Gates, not to be too confused by the contrary concept of living without walls is okay except for those restrictions where walls; moreover, iron bars are implied-- that your crossing the boundary of patent, where common sense must concede to EULA's, where until further notice, we're allowed use of one, or many confused versions of the "Microsoft .NET framework
