Version: GIMPshop 2.2.8
"I downloaded the GIMPshop and then recieved an email requiring jpg."
Pros: I saw a little bit of good with the way it might allow you to edit photo's.
Cons: I did not like the way GIMPshop completely took over the setup of downloaded jpg's so I have removed this software from my computer completly along with all other files that go with this software.

All you have to do is find a .jpg on your computer, right-click, hit Properties, and set the defaul opening program to your choice, most likely Windows Picture and Fax Viewer; a minor annoyance, but nothing more than that. And most of the time, programs ask before creating file associations; you probably selected the option inadvertantly.
