Version: GIMP 2.6.6
"ONE GOOD PROGRAM"
Pros: This free program is very, very good. I have used several free programs and this one is at the top. You have so much control. There is a pretty good on-line manual to help with the use of this program. They are always making it better.
Cons: It will be too complicated for people who want a simple photo-editing program with just basic tools. If you do not like to read, you probably will not refer to the manual. It has a steep learning curve for most people.
Summary: This program gives me all of the tools I need to get the desired results. It has sophisticated features to help do almost any graphics task you can dream up. Do not be turned off by the name: GIMP; it is just an acronym for a very good system. Hey it is free. If you do a little homework and refer to the manual, you will reap great results. Give it a try. Oh yeah....it's free!
