Version: GIMP 2.6.0
"An excellent program with many, neat, features !"
Pros: I like it because you can do many things with it from simple correction to complete overhaul of digital images and creation of artistic forms. The multiple interfaces make it easier to find tools and screens to work with the images.
Cons: I think the worst item about this program is the lack of documentation with the program. It is not an intuitive program, and takes a bit of getting used to. There are however, many sites where information can be obtained.
Summary: I use the program quite often to fix photos and create new, digital images. Once you get used to the interface and the program in general, it becomes a creators dream. The features found here are as good as any I have found in very expensive programs. I think it would be useful for everyone from amateur photographer to confirmed professional!
