Version: GIMP 2.6.6
Pros: Fine Open Source project
Cons: Unless things have changed since my last (albeit distant) install of the GIMP, anybody needing to edit images for printing need to look elsewhere. The GIMP doesn't support CMYK, only RGB.

"Very Good Software, and it's Free."
Pros: This software has lots of tools, pretty nice filters, and dialogs. No need to buy and expensive software to get the job done. I like it very much. Simple to use.
Cons: Some of the filter takes quite a time to process, but its free...

"Brilliant, easy to use and Free"
Pros: Really easy to use, professional image editing for absolutely no money at all. Why pay so much for photoshop i say.
Cons: Slightly hard to install from download.com but if you download "gimp.app" and make sure you have apples x11, its all as easy as pie

Pros: Well where to begin this program originally created soley for linux users became availible for windows users. And i thank all the people who worked to make the program cross platform. This prg. has everything plus a little more than photoshop plus to make it even better it is capable of using adobe's plugins for all you would be haters out there, heres the best part its free yeah you read right its not a typo its amazingly and utterly free brought to by the people who create free software for linux i've used this program for everything from animation to simple photo splicing. It supports all video formats plus a few extra ones that adobe doesnt.
Cons: All in all this product is almost flawless but unfourtnantly it is open source and thus an incomplete dont get me wrong its functioning perfect. But as with all open source programs it will in essence never be finshed but that technicly isnt a con more of a blessing becuse it will always imporve and never be crappy

Pros: I really like that you have so many ways to create neat visual effects and that the program is so easy to comprehend. It has a very cool User interface and most can use the program after only a few minuttes.
I am very happy for the feature that lets you use the clipboards size to make the next picture.
Cons: I find that it takes a lot of system resources and it is a bit annoying, that when you uses more than one instance, it can be hard to define which is the one you need to use.
