  "Great Program, Great Price, FREE"

  Pros: Powerful, Easy to use, FREE, Interface is nice and program seems polished.

  Cons: Really, I have not found anything I don't like. It's all around a great program and you can't beat the price.

  "You Can't Go Wrong Here!!"

  Pros: Everything about this powerful freak show called The Gimp is great!
  Besides the program its self, it has a huge user base and there are a million tutorials on the web! It is surpassed only by Photoshop...seriously! It's fricking FREE? WOW!!

  Cons: Not as user friendly as Photoshop and has a hard time with very large 300dpi images larger than the standard dimensions, we're talking feet not inches here.
  
  It has a substantial learning curve. But as they say, nothing good comes easy!

  Summary: Brilliant Freeware that is better than 99% of all graphics programs, both free and for pay. Second only to Photoshop in overall experience and function. You really can't find another program around that is as good as The Gimp. I am a professional Gra... read more

  "One-Stop Tool for all your Image edit & creation needs"

  Pros: - Make &/or add your own fonts & Brushes with ease
  - opens a multitude of image file formats and saves files in a ton of formats too!
  - a ton of great tools at your fingertips
  - Usuable on many OS platforms
  - free

  Cons: - new releases have bugs that don't get fixed as fast as
  other programs, but i am always up for sticking it out until
  the fix arrives.

  "Gimp is a program that edits photos like Photoshop."

  Pros: There are some pros towards Gimp. You can download the program for free, it does not take so long, and it's easily accessed on the internet.

  Cons: One of the cons of this program is that the tools provided can be very confusing. Gimp does not really detail how the tools can effect the picture. Also you cannot move the picture around properly and make the it smaller. It looks very plain too.

  Summary: If you want to edit your photos, pick Photoshop instead of Gimp because it's much more easier and better. It's practically a copy of Photoshop but a worse version of it. The tools are con read more
