GConvert is a nice tool that everyone who likes icons should use. You can insert your icon in your document or export them to your disk. GConvert extracts icons from files and displays them in a list: select the icon you want and it is converted into the format you want. GConvert reads any icon files such as executable, DLL, ICL, OCX, VBX, CPL, BPL, NIL, IL files and then allows you to save extracted icons as icon, bitmap, metafile, GIF, JPEG, PNG formats, or even copy them to the Windows clipboard for direct use into your applications, documents, Web pages.

"It wouldn't save, so screw it"

Summary: Whether or not it's a limitation of the trial version I don't know (and don't care) but it would make empty files when saving bitmaps. Also it lacks the most basic of batch options. There are better, and more free, apps for doing this sort of thin... read more >>

"only icon to icon"

Summary: This program only recognizes icon files! it wont let you convert .jpg to .ico!!!
