Pros
Currently using G-Data I.S. 2011-Security Suite. As stated in a previous review it utilizes both Bitdefender and Avast Anti-Malware engines and constantly finishes in the top three of detection...see A/V Comparitives....all will be revealed.
Cons
Only area for improvement would be with its Pre and Post Sales and Service. Their has been rumour that English speaking representatives will be assisting from the G-Data U.S.A. site...but having an actual presence in the U.S.A. would be the best .
Summary
The product is superb...automatic updates...excellent Anti Virus and Malware protection and the newest version provides a Behaviour Based component similar to Prevx and Threat-Fire. The GUI is easy to understand and visually appealing. You can set up your own Scanning Schedule and Tweek various customizations within the Suite. And the Pricing is ultra competitive...check out G-Data's U.S.A. website. And if interested take the newest version for a thirty day test drive. And German engineering is a large plus factor. Update; the USA website had been redesigned and looks great. The contacts for the USA office are listed on the website. I have had no problems getting in contact with the USA office over the phone and email. They are very nice. I'm impressed, they are not outsourced. :-)
