Version: FrostWire 4.18.3
"The best P2P app for Mac OS X"
Pros: Adware and spyware free, open source, fast download speeds, intuitive interface
Cons: Sucks with torrents
Summary: After switching to Mac OS X one of the biggest things I missed was the large choice of P2P clients available to Windows users. I had been using Ares Galaxy for the past few years and was hard pressed to find a Mac alternative. I never was a big fan of the Gnutella network as I always found it to be too slow (when compared to Ares Galaxy on Windows), so I figured FrostWire would be a big waste of my time. I couldn't have been more surprised to see how well FrostWire worked and how quickly files downloaded. It completely changed my perception of the Gnutella network and I now recommend FrostWire to everyone who asks me about which P2P client to try. I have no idea what the other reviewer is complaining about with the interface, if I remember correctly the FrostWire interface has always been the same and has only been tweaked here and there from time to time. The only thing I dislike with FrostWire is the BitTorrent capabilities suck. I have never been able to download a torrent through FrostWire. No matter though as I use Transmission for all of my torrents.
Keep up the excellent work, FrostWire developers!
