"Very detailed information"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.9
Pros
I really liked Fresh Diagnose's detailed look into the system. I was surprised at how fast it presented the information, especially compared to the built-in system information tool that comes with Windows XP. The reporting tool takes a while to run, but the very well-done HTML output makes it worth the wait.
Cons
It looks like benchmarking is only available to registered users. I can understand the need to keep some features out of the free trial, but the publisher should have made at least one benchmark report available in the trial version so that we could see what the benchmarks look like before purchasing.

"didn't like it"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.9
Cons
slows down the computer. acted really weird for a while (screen started changing collors)
-
"loads of info, easy to use, clear"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.8
Summary
What do you want for nothing? ("Rubber biscuits?"-The Blues Brothers). This is an excellent, comprehensive, clear tool for viewing all your computer's settings. If you are confused by the registration process then don't bother with this program, it's not for you. Haven't used the program enough yet to give it perfect marks but first impressions are very favourable.

"It worked for me, once I found the combination, and it was free."
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.8
Summary
For benchmarks, download, install and launch FreshDiagnose. Before you try to run any benchmarks, at the bottom of the screen, click "Register for free". You'll receive an e-mail with your user name and Registration Code. Copy the Registration code for FreshDiagnose to the clipboard. Be sure to copy the one for FreshDiagnose, as they also send you codes for their other products. Go back to the program window and in the menu, click Help, Register. Paste your Registration code and name exactly as in the e-mail. Once you've registered, select the benchmark you weant to run, and in the menu, click Benchmark, Start! The benchmark will run and display the results. I did not run the CD or network benmchmarks, but the others worked. To get a print out, in the menu, click Report. If you just want the benchmark reports, first click the "None" button to clear all the checkboxes, then scroll to the bottom and check the benchmarks you ran and click "Build". HTML reports are created that display nicely in the browser, but they don't print out. You can print them as follows: find the "System Report" folder it creates and in the Reports subfolder, drag the benchmark reports into Word and print them. The benchmark reports are named r-7-x.html

"What's not to like?"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.8
Summary
I can't understand why anyone would complain about this excellent, free program.
Yes, you must obtain a FREE serial number by email---but really, how hard is that? And yes, the publisher does send you occasional email---but as far as I can tell, it's only to advise you when new versions of the program are available. (If you're worried about getting onto spam lists, just use a temporary email account, such as Yahoo Mail or Hotmail.)
Fresh Diagnose has a generous selection of information and testing modules that you'd have to pay for elsewhere (in programs like SciSoft SANDRA). I especially appreciate the video benchmarks, which even many commercial system-info programs do not have!
So stop complaining and enjoy it already, okay? -
"these people need some diagnising"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.8
Summary
fresh devices have the sickening habit of putting you in a vicious circle visting their site, registering, coming to check your e-mail and again visiting their site. and the software does nothing.

"All Right"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.8
Summary
Useful for average or expert user but not the most useful for the nocie or begginer user.
-
"Not much use to typical users"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.8
Summary
Does what it says. Provides benchmarks which may be of some use to users since it will at least let you know how your major hardware components are running. Lists hardware, software, devices, multimedia, resources, network information is such detail only a computer technician can love. I personally find the Belarc Advisor inventory much more user-friendly.
Does not give advice (neither does Belarc). -
"Product Help/Support Virtually Nonexistent"
Version: Fresh Diagnose 6.8
Summary
The product not only provides no help for users without the knowledge of IT professionals, but it neglects to explain its own symbols, such as the symbols it places next to certain information. It doesn't say what the symbols mean or what triggers their use.
