"It does do those bad things"

I have used Freecorder for years now. This one went to far. It did flood my computer with to much spyware and viruses. I am a professional programmer of sorts, but this was a real pain to clean out of my new Windows 8 system.
Summary
Stay away from this one.

"Spy/Adware Spoils this good software"

Pros
I downloaded the program to record radio broadcasts from the internet and it did a fantastic job.
Cons
This program adds adware to your system. Anytime you run a search on a search engine, you'll get ads listed first. The most annoying is if you're using your browser and the hand cursor doesn't pop up, but you click, you'll get a popup for an ad. I've even had ads block certain buttons when browsing YouTube. Enough is enough.
Summary
Its really good software but just not worth the pain of adware infecting your computer and your browers.

"AWAY UNLESS YOU ARE AN EXPERT!"

Installs questionable software in the bargain.
Summary
Does what it says all right, but installs about 3 other ad programs and a 'security' suite. Not easy to uninstall as some of the ad software has a check-box saying install whatever instead, and it is checked automatically. So you can't uncheck it as it is uninstalling. Also contains at least two viruses that are directed at least at windows users. I thought it was a 'cnet secure download', which is why I installed it. If you have a working version of McAfee you will see twice, McAfee has removed a Trojan. If you are smart, and have a good security suite, you should be able to download this without problems, but I did not expext such a malicious download, and had to restore my computer to an earlier date(It also corrupted a few of my files including google chrome.)
I am not joking unless you are an expert, stay away from this download. -
"Malicious hijackware - avoid at all costs!"

Doesn't matter - you do not want this GARBAGE infecting your system!
Cons
When you copy embed code from Youtube and then paste, it alters the pasted code - adding a link to its site and other sites. So, unless you are careful, by posting a video on your site, you end up posting an advertisement for this crappy product!

"Haven't had all these problems except one"

Pros
Recorder works fine for what I do. You can change the settings before you start recording to adjust silence detection times and whether to keep recording the silence or not.
Cons
Don't install the toolbars an other junk make sure you uncheck them before installing. The seperate Apilian FLV program was killed by Spybot search and Destroy as having a virus or trojan so I didn't install.
Summary
The program on ver 7 no longer installs the prog list in Start menu. But in your browser you find a round button on the right which gives you a menu. If it changes your home page change it back in options on your browser.

keep away from this - installs browser hijacker (search.us.com) which is v.difficult to get rid of, a phishing tool and virus installer. Shame to spoil a good idea like that.
