To complete install properly you will need to be Administrator
or a user with Administrative rights on your target system..
(1) Get the download..
Go to FreeRam download site
(use search for FreeRam in all software on c|Net's Download site
your here already if you are reading this review-
Download to latest version FreeRam XPPro to desktop
(2) Open the download archive - zip file
(3) Get Error warning if another earlier version is running
- OK it (this is good)
(4) Right ckick and exit (confirm exit)
existing running version on system tray.
(5) Select continue the installer
(6) The installer notifies you that it a 'previous version detected'
and is going to uninstall it (this is good) - select OK
(7) Overwrite files, then use START> ALL PROGRAMS> FreeRAM XP Pro..
to run and configure the program.

Ever try to install Symantec over an older version? Can't even use the THEIR cleanup utility successfully, and there's always dozens of registry artifacts left. I've cleaned out over 300 Symatec/Norton registry enries after uninstalling some of their crap. I've given up on them, but nobody else is such a registry pig so it shouldn't be such a chore. Also, did you kill all your security apps before install? I use Task Manager to kill everything the system doesn't require to work.
