Pros
On my pcs, it ran smoothly and quick. The more videos to download, the slower it will become and it is perfectly normal as it largely depends on your subscribed bandwith to your ISP.
Cons
Not beautiful like some other downloaders. When Youtube alter some of it's video parameters every now and then, things can get difficult and this affects all downloaders.
Summary
I installed this software after reformatting my hard drives to completely rid of Internet Download Manager IDM software. A lot of advanced users are aware of IDM hidden tracker which sends data back under disguises out to their computers. Some claimed IDM people are now out to scare people from using any free softwares by other companied for fear of their declining revenue. So please beware!

Cons
Update from CNET came with many hijacks against my browsers (all - Google - Firefox - Explorer) Had to reset Google Chrome from the start. Be careful.

Works really well, quick and easy to use, fast downloads which easily convert to formats
Cons
You need to carefully read the instructions at the installation stage and NOT agree to download any toolbars or other add-ons etc if not wanted.
Summary
The Downloader works well, is straightforward to use and Kaspersky and Avast failed to detect any virus or Trojan. Have used successfully for 6 months without problems, pleased with the results.

Adds toolbar and search engine, and imposes toolbar URL as 'my home page' in Firefox even after unchecking the boxes. I removed them from add-ons, uninstalled the software, then re-installed, taking care to uncheck all toolbar/search boxes - same thing happened. And no, I haven't been 'rewarded' by anyone to criticise this product as one reviwer suggests above. It's the truth.
Summary
Have uninstalled again and found another downloader that does the job without the pushy arrogance (and if I was working for another software developer I'd tell you which downloader it was).

Takes forever to download videos. Burned them to dvd but they didn't load in my laptop, pc or dvd player. Wasted hours. Now I have to worry about the trojan horse and other issues listed above. Thanks for nothing!

I also have Avast and it didn't detect any problems. I just clicked no in the agreement and it didn't install that dumb toolbar. It downloads and converts just fine, I haven't had any problems at all with it.

this programme installed "Babylon" tool bar as my search toolbar...still trying to get rid of it..contacted them and got a reply within 2 hours....still there and will have to take it to a friend to get rid of the damn tool bar....a few expletives in my email to them.....its outrageous that they do this

steer well clear of this....as the other persons stated that it hijacks your home page and tool bar....
Further to this "Free" programme i also scanned it and found a Trojan using Avast and Adaware....both found it and it definitely was from this. The "Babylon" Tool Bar installed even when i rejected the option and was very hard to remove,,,,if you Google " Babylon Toolbar Removal" you will see the trouble it causes and the problem involved in deleting the tool bar. Its been described as "worse than a virus". It took my friend over 30 minutes to delete it and he is very good....I suggest the CNet review this programme and in the meantime do not purchase any of their products....there is enough negative reviews on here and Google to make you steer well clear of this. Please dont chance it.
