"Didn't work - hijacked my homepage"

    September 9, 2012  |   By J_Del

None whatsoever - total waste of my time

Simply did not work. It installed fine (while also installing other malware, such as the crap that hijacked my homepage), but then kept telling me I needed DirectX 8.1.

Well... as I am running Windows 7 with DirectX 11, that would seem to be a problem. Not sure who hoodwinked c-net into recommending this, but they did a great job. C-net is above junk like this - or at least it should be.

    Avoid at all costs.

Exactly the same issue I had/have. I've updated to the latest DirectX, then uninstalled and then reinstalled the converter and every time I try to install then do a conversion, I get the exact same message, that I need DirectX 8.1 or higher.

    This is a worthless program.
