"couldn't be simpler, works and it's free,"

takes a playlist of video files in multiple formats, converts, burns them to a dvd with a simple list-type menu. great for making dvd compilations of youtube video; cheap & dirty way to re-assemble movies divided into youtube size segments. burns +r, -r, rw ; haven't tried dl, no playback problems in computers or several dvd players i've used. can even choose various quality level / playing times for the output dvd. all software should be this easy. ( results with an hp computer running windows 7)
Cons
often, when windows does an update / fix this program gets damaged; gives cryptic error messages at start-up, crashes just after conversion, etc. i have to do a system restore and / or un- & re-install, find a version that will work and so on.
Summary
does everything i need; wish it wasn't so hard to keep running.

Summary
My first version 5/2010 burned everything and played on any dvd player. The latest few versions since 1/2011 still burn dvds but they only play on my computer and no longer on my stand alone dvd players. I can't download an old version cause it always automatically redirects me to the newest version.
Maybe it's something I've done wrong? Nobody else has mentioned this problem. -
