Pros

If you follow the help file instructions, everything works as it should. Did not have to do a do-over. Worked great 1st time thru.

I spent many, many hours with other software and got real frustrated. All I could do with them is copy the files to DVD but played only on computers but could not play on regular DVD players.

I had several flip-videos (mp4 files) and none of those programs were of any help getting the DVD to play on regular DVD players. This Sothink DVD maker worked better than I ever expected.
Yes, you get an ad before each clip, but for a free program, it's not a problem. Just make your clips long enough to minimize the number of ads, which are just a few seconds. I'm going to go for the pro-version, it's worth the extra few bucks. I don't know of any other programs that can do what Sothink DVD maker does.

I'd try the free version first to get a sense of what it does.

Cons

I don't think the ad before each segment which is only a few seconds is a problem, esp. if the software is free.

Summary

You can waste your time looking for a free DVD player that allows you to create a DVD disc with MP4 files for input, but all I can say is, lots of luck. If you can find something better, let us know, but I highly doubt you will.

Anyway, I definitely like the thought that went into the design of this software package, and their help file is the best I've seen.
