"Garbage! Link to website that 404s on every term."
Version: Free Medical Dictionary Spell Checker 2.0
Pros
Absolutely none.
Cons
This "app" is total garbage. It just installs a link to a website in your list of programs. When you search for a term, you get a page with a search box that 404s ("nothing found") and displays lots of ads.
Summary
If you just need a list of medical terms, there's a link to a self-extracting zip file with text files of medical terms on this page: http://www.spellingzone.com/medicalspelling.html. From the text files, it's a simple task of generating your own list of terms which can then be imported into Word as a custom dictionary. So, if you're looking for a _lookup tool_, there are probably better ones out there. But if you need a "medical dictionary spell checker", which is what this purports to be, this app falls very much short of the mark, and you're better off finding a usable word list.

"Exactly what I wanted!!!"
Version: Free Medical Dictionary Spell Checker 2.0
Pros
I'm studying medical record coding right now and I haven't come across a word it didn't know...which is good when you hit those 10+ letter words, or the ones where a vowel makes all the difference in the world!
Cons
Reminder...it's a SPELL-CHECK dictionary...not a "look up the definition" type dictionary
Summary
Exactly what I wanted!!! The download does all the "work" when it's done, the dictionary is in place and working. I'd left Word open because I'd finally had it with adding words to MS-Word's dictionary...the next thing I typed..bang! The "new" dictionary caught it!

"Easy to use and Complete"
Version: Free Medical Dictionary Spell Checker 2.0
Pros
I was surprised at how many medical words it had. Better than others I've tried.
Cons
None really
Summary
It worked really well and did what it said it would. The only was I needed a medical speller for Microsoft Word. It gave me a link for a Word medical speller so I used that one for Word.
