Free Internet Window Washer is yet another contender in the browsing-privacy category, but its spotty performance and lack of navigational flow left a lot to be desired.
The user interface is bland in appearance, but simple enough to understand. However, the commands along the left side of the small window aren't in the most logical order. The result is an interface that lacks any kind of flow, making it difficult to know where to go next. Regardless, using the Wash Settings menu, we were able to check off the cleaning options we wanted to include in the wipe process. The program does extend its cleaning functionality to Netscape, Opera, and Firefox in addition to Internet Explorer. It also lets you schedule cleanings using preset increments. But it all proved pointless because while the program successfully emptied our Recycle Bin and cleared any temporary files, it failed to clear our IE browsing history. A tally at the bottom of the interface lets you know the total number of items and space to be washed, but we found it inaccurate when compared with its actual performance.
The program offers a Help menu, but it doesn't make up for the poorly designed user interface and unreliable performance. We recommend you skip this free program for a more functional browsing-privacy tool.

I have used this program for years. This window washer program seems to be the only one left around since Webroot stopped making their pay version. I does an excellent job of clearing off anything from your computer that leaves traces of your browsing history or identity. It can be adjusted to 'bleach' over your deleted items so they are un-retrievable.
Eusing is a donation only company. There is NO advertising or back door spyware or the like. I sent them a small donation because their programs are worth it to me.
This program doesn't wash deleted e-mail like Webroots pay version did. It can take a while to clean/bleach if you have been on the internet long or haven't used the program regularly, but it does a thorough job.
I would highly recommend this program unless you can find another one out there that is a pay program and washes deleted e-mail. Eusing is a good company. I have 3 of their programs that I use including this one.
these programs do what they say and work well at doing it
I have not, as of yet, found a program that cleans the registry of unwanted history tracks. After running several different programs, I still find unwanted files in the registry.
Can no one come up with a program that will remove all unwanted tracks of web sites you visit? I have to check my registry every three or four days for these tracks. Yes. I visit nude sites. When I do, my registry records EVERY web site, that includes sites I don't bring but because they are a part of the site I'm visiting, they get put into the registry. Windows one draw back is that. Check your registr and you will see what I'm talking about.
on start up the overlay page to request a licence key is a nuicance and when you try to remove it the whole page disapears into the system tray.
Sometimes you have to "wash" again to clear all clutter.
Wipes program traces, and internet stuff just fine. Has full functionality.
User Interface isnt pretty lol, and not very intuitive... you have to dig through each menu a few times to get a feel for where things are. (certainly nothing to complain about considering the price- free) Unsure about the wiping feature.
All in all seems to be the best I've come across in free cleaner software. Program needs more description of what is being performed in the "wiping" option... details the number of passes but doesnt indicate what algorithm is being used or if it's just wiping zeros. Also doesnt appear to have option to wipe empty space on the drive. Dont get me wrong all in all, still the BEST I've come across in free cleaners.
