"Too Simple to be Useful; not worth the effort."

It's free and easy to use once you figure out what to do.
Cons
No instructions. Took a while to figure out that you have to rename each file. Before recording you have to use a player to listen, and if the input level is too high you have to keep messing with the input level to avoid distortion.
Summary
There should be a VU meter to monitor the input level so we can set it low enough to not get clipping and distortion. It should have a player link so the files can be played from within the program.

Easy to Use, makes great files, allows you to fine tune the quality and file type. great for recording ANY sound that would come out of your speakers. I just use a cable that has a headphone jack on both ends and then hook from headphone jack to mic!

absolutely nothing.
Cons
clunky interface, no help screen, says its recording a wave file, but file doesn't exist. Wasted 20 minutes of my life that I will never get back.

Seems to work for WAV and WMA. Unfortunately, that's not what I need it for.
Cons
Doesn't work for MP3. And that's all I need it for. Anything I try gives an "Invalid floating point operation" error.

The product description says: "Capture audio from selected audio input pin. For example, Line In, Microphone, Stereo Mix, Mono Mix, Aux, Video, CD Audio, Phone Line." There is no Stereo Mix option, which is the only important one.

Summary
I was looking for a free voice recorder for a long time and tried at least 10 others. Nothing was even closer to this. This may appear fency like many others, but capable of doing exactly what it suppose to do.
