  "Instalaion and usage, works well on good files"

  Pros

  I like the fact that it has an easy to understand UI, and relatively good perofrmance.

  Cons

  I was trying to convert a file that was created using a MP3 player. The software failed to encode it correctly and didn't say what the problem was. This same behavior happened on all covertors I have tried. After I understood the problem and did another convertion (original format was 4bit wav) to a normal pcm file things worked well.

  "No opinion of the product, because I couldn?t download it without buying it?!"

  No possibility to download without filling in a form such as you do when you buy something... Please correct me if I?m wrong!

  "Finally a damn cd ripper that does what its supposed to do!"

  Pros

  This program performed exceptionally well, enabling me to rip tracks from my solo cd into my pc for remixing and processing....For once cnet has a decent program on it which is what it says it is (more or less)

  Cons

  Win98 users will receive an error message...just drag the error message window out of your way and continue! I am not sure why that error message keeps showing up, but it is a minor annoyance, and makes no difference WHATSOEVER in the performance of this ripper, and NO I DON'T WORK for THEM!

  "Simple and Sweet little app."

  Version: Free CD to MP3 Converter 1.6

  Pros

  A simple program put together in an honest attempt to give people a MP3 making ability. It's straight-forward interface (though lacking glamour) was refreshing. No spyware or "handy bonus apps" came with it.

  I haven't tested it's Record Line In feature, just the MP3 from CD part.

  Cons

  Nothing huge. The english used in the product was slightly incorrect in grammer. Not a big con though.

  It also asks for registration at the start. It's not a problem becuase nothing seems to be left out because you don't register.
