While this children's game is quite appealing, the trial's time limit may put off potential players. Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell stars a female fish and her friend Luther. Young children will find the mouse-based navigation easy to figure out, though some of the puzzles take a little thinking. The cursor changes when it's hovering over something you can interact with. Oftentimes a click triggers a quick animation of a bug doing something cute, but sometimes it triggers an important piece of dialog or allows Freddi to pick up the object. The graphics, music, and voice acting are all enjoyable. There's a lot of swimming back and forth while the half-hour of playing time ticks away, though. The game shuts down at the 30-minute mark rather than simply not starting again once you've reached the limit, and we can't tell whether you pick up where you left off when you buy the game. To avoid unhappy kids, parents of young children should be prepared to register Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell right away.Publisher's description
From Atari :The Great Conch Shell has been stolen and it's up to Freddi Fish and Luther to catch the culprit. All is well on their tropical vacation, until the finny friends realize the Great Conch Shell is missing. Uncle Blenny can't open the Founder's Day Festival until the heralded horn has been recovered. Your child will join Freddi Fish and Luther as they explore ancient ruins, play games at a fun-filled carnival and even discover a sunken airplane while looking for clues and finding adventure. Rosy Pearl, Pierre the Tailor, and Nadine the Narwhal are just a few of the fun new friends they'll meet as they follow Old Soggy's sniffer through this tropical paradise. In the end, it's up to your child to piece the clues together and figure out who's responsible for this underwater caper.
