Instead of embarking on a grueling journey of scrolling to find the images you want, FoxySpider makes the trip much easier. This Mozilla Firefox add-on scans Web pages and creates thumbnail galleries of all of the page's images and their respective links. It also fetches other content such as audio and video files, which you configure under the "content" tab in the extension preferences.

After downloading, add the FoxySpider icon (a Fox inside a spider web) to your tool bar by going to View, Toolbars, and Customize. Before FoxySpidering a page, you can customize its settings by going through Tools, Add-ons, and FoxySpider Options in Firefox. In this menu, you can select whether the gallery opens in a new tab or window, set how many images appear in your gallery, and choose whether you want URLs and descriptions included in the gallery. A useful option is to select 'ignore links without images;' this way only pictures show up in the gallery instead of link screenshots. The options menu also lets you resize the thumbnails, choose a background color, and select the "crawler depth" of the gallery. The add-on's Home page has instruction on how to alter the crawling depth; this modifies how many pages FoxySpider crawls through to find the Web site's images.

When you are finished customizing its settings, you can go to any Web Page that has images and click the FoxySpider icon. A new window (or tab if you customized this option) will appear with a gallery of thumbnails from the page. Clicking on the thumbnails will open the image in a separate tab for your copying or saving enjoyment.

FoxySpider is a great tool for anyone who enjoys perusing through the many pictures that the Internet has to offer. The add-on improves on image search engines such as Google and Bing by scanning pages of images instead of pulling up singular images based on your search criteria. Of course, they can be used for different purposes. Use them in conjunction with each other to get the most out of your image browsing experience. The add-on is especially great for blog-browsing as you get all the images without the endless scrolling.

Developer's Description

View all the images on your website in a thumbnail gallery.
FoxySpider can be used to create a vivid thumbnail gallery of all the links to requested file types in a page packed with links. It can also recursively crawl into all the page links and display the files it finds there in the same gallery. FoxySpider is useful for different media content pages (music, video, images, documents), thumbnail galley post (TGP) sites, podcasts and even to narrow down search results, giving you exactly what you want.
