    "Why learn Photoshop...?"

    September 16, 2008  |   By ldarroch

    Version: FotoFusion 4.1

    Pros

when you can start making beautiful layouts with your images in a few minutes. FotoFusion has a set of autotools to get your composition started quickly, then you can add as much or as little decoration as you wish.

    Cons

not much -- it does what you want it to do.

    Summary

The wysiwyg environment eliminates hunting around for hours for hidden menu items and control key secrets. This is what non-graphic designers need to make their images shine.

"Can't Print without water mark, too bad!"

    November 23, 2007  |   By bill4482

    Version: FotoFusion 3.3

    Pros

The program is neat and easy to use.

    Cons

Not being able to print without the water mark turned me off. I uninstalled as soon as I discovered this deficiency. Many HP printers come with some fixed collage templates as part of the software.

"Essentials Version's Output Options Too Limited"

    April 25, 2007  |   By angielinn

    Version: FotoFusion 3.3

    Pros

The product itself is great and I found it easy to use. The collage feature works well as long as you're doing it one page at a time. It produced pages that were what I wanted.

    Cons

The output options are extremely limited in the Essentials version ($40). The trouble with this software is that you can spend a lot of time on a project, only to find you can't export it to the format you need. You can only output one page projects (so much for my photo album). If you want to output to a jpg or tiff, it has a fairly low max resolution (2000x2000, or 180 DPI for a 8.5 x 11 inch page).

Another frustrating thing was that it allowed you to use features which are only "included" in the higher end ($300) versions of this product, but doesn't warn you about them until you go to print. Only then does it tells you you're using features you haven't paid for, and if you don't want big watermarks over your project you have to go back and undo those features. It would be far preferable if those features warned you when you tried to use them, rather than when you have everything looking the way you want it.

If I had it to do over again, I would not purchase this software, as the output options in the Essentials version are too limiting for the software to be useful to me.

    "Works well- with limitations"

    December 29, 2006  |   By Corinna22

    Version: FotoFusion 3.3

    Pros

The program comes with about 15 templates that are easy to use to create an AutoCollage.

    Cons

It would have been nice to know prior to purchase that this version will only print at 300dpi. Also, certain features such as ImageSet/multiple pages print out with watermarks. You will need another program to edit photos prior to creating the collage. I would only recommend this version for the AutoCollage feature (if 300dpi is an acceptable quality printout.) **The Studio version allows printouts above 300dpi and ImageSet/multiple pages to printout without watermarks.

    "Only does collages"

    November 15, 2006  |   By blueclam

    Version: FotoFusion 3.3

    Pros

The auto collage thing is really cool. Just put in a bunch of photos and it shuffles them around automatically. Yup, I liked that.

    Cons

First, there's no photo editing. You have to fix your photos somewhere else. Second, the mouse seems to control everything and makes it really hard to do anything. I use a tablet pen and I kept accidently doing things I didn't want to. I tried it for a week because I really wanted to like it. I even tried switching back to a mouse in hopes of controlling the cursor. But alas, that moment never came... The automatic collage thing is really sweet but the layering to make photo montages is no easier than PS. I might buy it just for the auto collages but otherwise I wouldn't recommend it.

"Can't print with Stadard Version ($39.95)"

    October 28, 2006  |   By aunrea

    Version: FotoFusion 3.3

    Pros

    Great for scrapbooking

    Cons

If you buy the stadard version you still get watermarks when printing. Which is why I wanted it. I would have stayed with the trial version if I had known.

"I'm too stupid to use this program"

    June 22, 2006  |   By srehotx

    Version: FotoFusion 3.3

    Pros

Page view is great, drop image is great

    Cons

I spent my evening trying to create one page with one image and a caption. Sophisticated software takes time to learn. My task was simple. I have other things to do.
