Coaching a football team is a complicated endeavor, so it makes sense to take advantage of tools that can help manage the many tasks that football coaches have to handle. Football Roster Organizer is a simple program coaches can use to create and print rosters for each game, as well as analyze previous performance. If you've been creating rosters on paper or in a spreadsheet, Football Roster Organizer is an alternative that's worth checking out.

Football Roster Organizer has a plain and intuitive interface; it won't be winning any beauty contests, but it's easy to figure out at first glance. Clicking the Create New Game Roster button lets users select player names from drop-down menus for each position in each quarter. To add a new player, simply type the name into the drop-down menu's text box, and Football Roster Organizer will save it automatically.

Rosters can be printed so that they're handy for game day, but users can also save rosters with the date, opponent, score, and outcome, which makes Football Roster Organizer a great tool for assessing how certain combinations of players fare against particular opponents. The program has a built-in Help file, but we didn't have to consult it, and we'd be willing to bet that most other new users won't have to, either. Overall, we found Football Roster Organizer to be a commonsense and time-saving way to create football game rosters, and we recommend it.

This program is written to help coaches organize and plan rosters for youth football. It has a simple interface that allows you to browse through past games and line-ups. The roster is built up as you enter in names into line-ups. When you open the new roster window you see the full line-up for all four quarters of a football game. There are all the standard football slots including tailback, guard, tackle, defensive end, safety, etc. for each quarter. There is a tab for selecting the offense or defense set up. As kids are entered into the correct starter slot their name is added to the overall team roster. After a name is first entered, the player can then be selected by using the pull down menu. Before the football game the line-up can be printed so you have a hardcopy at the game. One nice thing about having all this information in the software is that it creates a nice history of the season. You can see who played what games and quarters and even what positions they played. You can also determine which rosters were the most successful against certain competition. Football Roster manager is freeware meaning that its free to download and use with no restrictions.
