    "UGLY!"

    November 4, 2004  |   By Corydory

    Version: Foobar2000 0.8.3

    Summary

I hope this program comes with skins - somewhere on it's website - as it is the most hideous looking mediaplayer I have ever seen! What made me laugh was when I looked for any skins - any at all - on it's website, Foolbar2000 actually admits that the player doesn't sound better than any other player - and they don't recommend alot of their extras (?) Well that was enough for me, plus the skull shape plastered all over my songs wasn't appealling to say the least. I reinstalled Quintessential player immediatly - may be alittle unstable but atleast this plays video aswell - and would never resort to disowning it's plugins on there website like this little (ugly) baby.

"An Excellent & Stable Audio Player"

    May 6, 2004  |

    Version: Foobar2000 0.8.3

    Summary

If you looking for a very stable audio player for your Windows 9x, 2000, NT & XP then Foobar2000 is the best choice, not only does it supports most audio format (except for RealAudio format) but has some good plugins (General, DSP, Input & Output plugins).

Note: This player uses less system recources and CPU Usage and has a low memory footprint.

    "What a Player"

    March 30, 2004  |   By normwarm

    Version: Foobar2000 0.8.3

    Summary

I've been looking for a player that would play the FLAC format, wow did I find a player that handles the format. With the large hard drives on the market space on my computer is not at a premium. The interface isn't much to speak of so if that's what your looking for don't look here. Other than that Foobar pretty much blows everything else out of the water. It handles about anything out there but for that you have to go to Foobar's website to download what is called the spiecal ( about 2.5mb ). It doesn't seems to use alot of memory or cpu. Has a nice cross fader and equalizer and more things to tweak than most will know what to do with. All in all a decent player.

    "Excellent Software"

    November 24, 2003  |

    Version: Foobar2000 0.8.3

    Summary

I have a hard-drive full of MP3 and such music files. I downloaded several players like Rio Port Audio Manager, Windows Media Player, and so on. Each of those "Media Players" would always come up with some type of 'Error' when I tried to play certian files. I downloaded this Program and haven't had a problem with it once. It's easy to use and fully configurable, even down to the Icon you use in the System tray. To make it better, It's not a large file that takes up my HD space, Leaving more room for more music. So I would say that It is Definately worth downloading this and keeping it =D
