  Pros

  Can't really say because it wasn't what I wanted. I wanted to scan font's created on paper and then scan them in. Which you can do if you have Scanahand an add on.

  Cons

  The package might be ok but wasn't what I wanted. It's for designing fonts which is ok, but I had my fonts already on paper.

  Summary

  Font Creator is great for desinging fonts, but you need scanahand to import fonts. Not sure how they work together because you have to pay for addons and trial programs don't show you a final product.

  Its just as easy to get artwork into FontCreator as it is to get it into Scanahand. Even easier IMO as you don't have to fill in a template. Scan your artwork, open in IrfanView, and paste the letters via the Windows clipboard one at a time or ten at a time if you prefer. Resize and reposition them in FontCreator, which allows far greater control over horizontal and vertical positioning than Scanahand does. Scanahand may be quicker for a basic font, but FontCreator is better for high quality fonts with swashes or composites.
