Font Xplorer does what I need - it shows all of my fonts so I can pick the one I want for the project I am doing.
Cons
A checkbox next to the font so that I could compare two or three would be convenient.
Summary
This is a nice utility if you get tired of trying to discern font designs form the font menu. It works well and probably does much more than I use it for.

Easy to find and sort fonts; to look at them in the context that you need them for. Its good for finding duplicates with different names.
Cons
There really isn't anything that I dont like about it - but I would just love to have a facility to sort fonts into types - so I could file all scripts together; all comics; all ethnics; all plain formals; casual formals etc.etc. That would be great!

I think I have done that already - above, I certainly don't dislike the product!!
OMG - I hadn't even discovered (after about 6 years use!!!) the feature that Brent3600 brought to attention. Thanks Brent! I('m inclined to only look for what I currently need & I just didn't realise that a feature was there which I constantly need! Some mothers have them!

2. Basic functions are easy to useCons
1. Outside of basic functions it's unintuitive and awkward.
2. Lacks important functions such as being able to sort fonts or change fonts' color.
3. Fonts are jammed together so it's easy to attribute a prev.font's name to a next font's preview.Summary
No way to sort fonts or label them (which is important when you get lots of fonts) or otherwise this function is extremely well hidden.
No easy way to see which fonts are installed and which aren't other than looking at them one-by-one with font info window open.
No function to change font color. And to simply change font background you'd need to select Tools from the top menu, then Options, then from the General tab select Background. For such a simple function it's really awkward.
No function (or otherwise it's really hard to find) to see how a font would look in italic or bold.
This program is not worth having. NexusFont is also free and it's much better in functionality and design. -

I do alot of graphic design and have alot of costom fonts installed. With this program you can view all the fonts you have installed on your computer than check them to compare them side by side. You can also type in sample text so you can see how it will be displayed on all your fonts. This program is simple easy to use and navigate.

This is a 30 day DEMO of a commercial product! Why does CNet list it as "Free" and "No Limitations"?
Summary
I feel like I wasted my time downloading this! I'm not interested in commercial products in ANY form. NO MORE DEMOS PLEASE!.
