"At least make a command to open charmap"
Version: Font Wrangler 2.0s
Cons
Since the program does not include an internal charmap / font viewer, the least thing it could include is a command to open the selected font in the charmap or MS Font Viewer program that comes with windows. It should take around 10 mins to code that in.

"Excellent for quick name changes..."
Version: Font Wrangler 2.0s
Summary
Wow! Great little program! I hate the names of some of my fonts as they show up in my programs. I go to look for a 'Wedding' font and keep forgetting it's under "zapf chancery" (or whatever).
I opened this program, selected the font, clicked "rename" and BAM! done. Wedding font is under "Wedding" in all my programs. Excellent for organizing and renaming for ease of finding your fonts.
I 'was' considering the $549 Fontlab for renaming, but this is MUCH faster, easier and WAY cheaper. Try it! :) -
"A decent type manager"
Version: Font Wrangler 2.0s
Summary
If you're looking for a font editor or font creator, look for another program. However, if you have hundreds of fonts on your machine that you need to manage and quickly install and uninstall this is a pretty snappy program.

"Misleading"
Version: Font Wrangler 2.0s
Summary
I downloaded this thinking that I could actually edit the font images for each character. (Yeah Right!) When I opened this program, it gave me two boxes allowing me to install/remove fonts that I had on my computer. I don't know how this guy has the nerve to charge for this program, as it does NOTHING more that the font control panel. Actually, it does less.
Do not waste your time downloading this rubbish. -
"It's like Adobe Type Manager (ATM) Lite but for True Type Fonts."
Version: Font Wrangler 2.0s
Summary
I had no problems on Win9x system, it worked fine. Provides basic functions of installing and uninstalling TTF, browsing installed and uninstalled TTF, ability to copy font to \windows\fonts or not. Displays Font name and File name and path. Noted features: the ability to change the font name or the file name. Noted limitations: it only works with TTF's, can't browse Adobe Type 1's-you have to use ATM. Cannot create font groups like other managers. It's OK but there are better tools.

"Unusable directory feature in Windows 2000"
Version: Font Wrangler 2.0s
Summary
The directory searching feature on the right side of this program does not work correctly, and I can not search through directories to find font files. Installing them is out of the question. It doesn't even perform its most basic function, which is quite a pity.
