Version: Folder Tweaker 1.1
"Uh, well..."
Pros: Convenient and all, but...
Cons: Upon opening this file I discovered that all of the My Computer shortcuts had been converted to search shortcuts.

i wonder if he's talking about- rather than actually opening, some of his folders are opening in search mode instead. This happens to 'my computer' mostly, (& sometimes other folders) when you chnge icons by going into folder options. It's happened to me. How it happens exactly is,like i said, going into 'folder options' (control panel), and then to the 'file types' tab- when you click on either 'folders' or 'system folders', (at the top of the list of file types)- even if you do nothing to change them- just clicking them affects the drive folder(s) by having it open to 'search'- rather than just opening. (if you look at the start menu, & right-click 'my computer' you'd see 'search' at the top- whereas it should have the 'open' command at the top.)
It actually could be likely that this happened to think76 upon using this program, considering this is a folder icon changing software. Maybe the program is someow accessing the same thing as changing the 'folder' & 'system folder' file types' icons as i described above. Im no techie, so it's highly possible it doesn't. I know about this only because it happened to me. I had to download a script to fix it- which was actually very easy, & fixed it perfectly.

Oops... I'm really surprise to hear that "all of the My Computer shortcuts had been converted to search shortcuts". Folder Tweaker doesn't do anything with your shortcuts at all!
Folder Tweaker uses desktop.ini to change your background images as well as the folder icon. Just delete this file and everything would be switched back to its original state.
