Won't work any longer because ffmpeg 0.5 keeps crashing and the app won't work with .010. Low MP3 bit rates.

I am new to converting files. I cannot give you even an beginners opinion. That being said, the very first time I have ever "converted" a movie file was with Flv Crunch. I didn't need instructions, and my movie was converted to quicktime in about 1 minute after opening Flv Crunch for the first time.
It is easy to use, it looks like it will convert all the types of movie files I have ever heard of, and others that I haven't.
I will stay with this program, until or unless it won't convert something I need to convert.Cons
It doesn't look like much, but it's FREE. Do I need it to look slick? NOPE.

This is quite a nifty tool! It's simplicty is just what the doctor ordered, perfect for a non-techie like me. I'm amazed at the options for conversion.
Cons
don't know of any just. I'm going to give this program a workout though and will check back in.
Summary
This is a great free piece of software. The best part is it's so easy to use. If you really need something with more bells and whistles then you shouldn't be messing with a free program in the first place.

It actually converts my stupid JVC everio .mod on my mac which it has a hard time reading in iMovie, and converts it,fast and LOSSLESS to anything like .mp4. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. 5 stars works great on mid 2011 iMac files convert clean still in good quality and they work just fine in iMovie and its really free

None. none that I know of yet. just excited I do not have to buy anything to simply make .mod work on my iMac . my camera wouldnt import correctly the sd chips would sometimes not be found by iMovie for whatever reason. iMacs are great but these little hangups make ya crazy
