Like I said, it doesn't run on my machine and, apparently, I'm not the only one.

The content of the error message tells me that the developer suspected the app would not run under certain conditions. Have these folks ever heard of meaningful "beta testing?"
Unable to use app; gave error when launched. Cisco Tech Support corrected the problem for me and the app now runs fine. Interface is a bit confusing but does get the job done.

Downloaded and installed TWICE. Can't be opened, doesn't work. At all. As I recall, the previous incarnation worked just fine. Have used WMV player for YEARS prior to this with no problem whatsoever. I agree CNET's puff-piece author--"this app's functionality is invisible once installed." In fact, it's virtually undetectable--you can't even open it to configure it.

I have this installed but have no idea how often my system uses it - so I guess that's a good thing.
When I go to play anything where I have to choose a player though - I always go for VLC. -
