The game itself might be great, but the demo is terrible. I've never played a flight simulator before. So I hope to find some sort of tutorial that explained the basics of flight, and the basics of the controls that the game has. Nope, there's nothing. The first mission, the Beginning mission, just drops you an ultralight that is in flight. Um, how do I fly this thing? Oh, and the mission briefing says "Before flying this mission, fly tutorials 1-3 to learn how to fly an ultralight.". Of course, they don't include any tutorials in the demo! So, in order to play the demo to see if I want to buy the game, I have to buy the game!
Another example of how well-thought-out this demo is: on the Home screen of the program, a message pops up that tells me to go download the latest service pack. I dutifully do so, but when I try to install it, it fails because the service pack doesn't work with the trial version! Then, why did you tell me to download it?!
This may be a good game, but the demo has so turned me off that I won't be buying it. Thanks, Microsoft, you just saved me $30!
