"I have only one word to describe FlashControl: AMAZING!"

Pros
When it comes to blocking content, FlashControl works everywhere FlashBlock fails. Clicking the flash placeholder will always yield proper content output. Performance-wise, FlashControl run smoothly and won't hang on sites like Orkut nor GMail.
Cons
No bugs. No issues. No cons whatsoever.

Pros
Now you have the control you want when working with flash in web sites. It blocks every thing you want it to and makes it easy to load the parts you want to with out refreshing the whole page.
Cons
I'd like to be able to have it print out the addresses of the blocked flash elements, which would make it easier for me to add them to the blacklist or whitelist.
Summary
This is the best flash-blocking extension I have ever used. It's better than the ones in Firefox, and the other flash-blocking extentions found in the Google Chrome extension gallery.

"Great when icon appeared. But vanished,"

Pros
Right after install, worked fine.
Cons
But only for about 90 seconds. Then icon and its drop-down menu vanished. Still listed in my Chrome Extension Tools. Reinstall did not help. Resetting its options didn't restore it either.

FlashControl Icon, please phone home.
