Version: Flash Player (Internet Explorer) 8.0.22
"Good Product"
Pros: Easy to install and uninstall, now also in the control panel. I downloaded and installed version 8.0.24.0 from the macromedia website (owned by adobe). Ideal for animations on the web. Most Windows versions have already the Flash Player installed, but these are old versions of the Flash player. So download the newest!

Flash Player 9.0.28.0 and earlier versions cause Windows 98 Second Edition to crash during closing of Windows, becauses Flash Player has (a) file(s) with name position of more than 66 characters, as reported by "check disc for errors" with automatic repair not selected. I reported this bug, only causing crashes with earlier versions of Windows like Windows 98 SE, to Adobe, but they do not do anything about it, although they wrote on their website, that they would look serious at reported bugs. I downloaded their uninstall program to uninstall all versions of the Flash Player and Windows 98 SE does not crash any more.
