"Renewed my hope for this program"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
I admit, after using a somewhat buggy Firstpage 2000 and watching Eversoft work on 2006 slower than a snail, after checking out FP2006 I have completely renewed hope and trust in Evrsoft. Almost all, if not all, the bugs that were in FP2000 have been sorted out, especially that pesky preview error and the Editor Preferences not saving. That, and they've added tons of new features that only make this program even better, such as split screen preview, a WYSIWIG editor for those that don't have much knowledge in HTML, and a "tag property" function that shows you each attribute you can add to an HTML tag. Add support for PHP (which is what my site runs in) and you have me back on board wiht firstpage.
Cons
My absolute biggest beef about FP2006 is about how long it took to release this program. This was initially supposed to be Firstpage 2003, then XP, then 2005, and finally... 2006. In a way it makes you wonder at the efficiency of the developing company, but they were still able to give us a quality product. Though all the bugs that were in FP2000 have been dealt with, a few more critical glitches have popped up with certain people, such as the splash screen not disappearing, and with the program faulting on startup or shutdown. And lastly, for those that use the project feature, the project manager still doesn't like PHP files, despite the fact that 2006 supports it.

"Eversoft has out done themselves"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
Excellent program.

"The best and most usefull HTML editor I've encountered."
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
I create HTML based software on a daily basis and nothing is so important as the ability to just write HTML pages without losing time on figuring out scripts. Being able to see the script in color codes has saved me hours in uncovering tiny little typos. The sidebar with quick lookup of tags and properties is priceless. The ability to preview your work in different screen sizes. The ease at which you insert CSS and Javascripts into your pages. I could go on and on...
Cons
The only thing I hold against the creators of this software is that it took them so darn long to release their upgrade!!

"Greatly Underrated Program"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
I have been using First Page for some time now, and it is an AWESOME solution to a payable HTML Editor such as Dreamweaver. I definately recommend this program to anyone!
Cons
None... honestly.

"Can't afford Dreamweaver, no problem!!!"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
Amazing program! If you don't download this and try it out, then you are just as crazy as Evrsoft for making this software absolutely FREE!!!
Cons
Source Mode: > Options > General Program Preferences > Start Up > uncheck: Show Splash Screen. This will fix the splash page bug, if you have that issue.

"I feel like a little kid in a candy store! 1st Page 2006 is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Version: First Page 2006 3
Pros
I love all of the features in this product, the following being but a few :
1. Instantz Scrips - Embed premade scripts right into your web page
2. Easy GUI - Great gui, a baby could navigate through it
3. All around Support - Supports embedding Java, CFML, PHP, ASP, SSI, Flash, Shockwave, and more!
4. Smart tags - For ex, typing in "img src=", and you can click on a popup dialog box that lets you find the image on your hard drive! Works with all tags!
5. Wysiwig - What you see is what you get!
6. Instant Previews! - Write the Html, and click preview to see it instantaneously previewed
These are but a FEW of MANY MANY features that this excellent program has.
Cons
A few features are turned off until you buy the program (The program is free, but does not come originally with scripts, etc.) I will still say this program is better than any other free html editor out there such as coffeecup, notepad, arachnophilia, etc.
