Version: FireFox Domain Lookup / Whois by EdibleHost.Com 1
Pros: All around a useful plugin for any domainer. You type in a domain, it tells you if it's already registered, and it then either allows you to check the whois information or to register the domain (there are cheaper domain registrars just just a domain, but you don't need to register here if you don't like... and they also give you the domain for free if you get web hosting from them, which is a pretty sweet deal). Installation is pretty straight-forward as well, just copy an XML file to a firefox search plugins folder and start using it.
Cons: The domain whois information it gives on a registered domain could be a bit more detailed, but it even that gets the job done; I suppose I've just been babied by whois.sc. ( :
