"Simple, free and does the job!"

Pros
I've used FineCrypt for some time now, and I have absolutely no complaints. It is stable and does what it is supposed to do. Most of all I like the feature that allows to see in one window all the encrypted files on your computer and explore their contents.
Cons
No support for languages other than English, e.g. German.

"I think it's a good program ,but didn't work for me."

True freeware with no pop up's,with no spy/ad-ware.Everything looked good see cons below.
Cons
I made a test folder and pressed encrypt where it prompted me to set a password so i did but then when i clicked the folder,I could read the file fine, after a few tests i realized it wasn't encrypting anything.Maybe it's just me though.

the key management is complicated. you need to store hundreds of keys on a separate medium (e.g. flashdisk). if you loose it, good luck. implicitly the program stores the keys directly on your hard drive, which means no protection if someone steals your computer (laptop). "wipe out file after encryption" is also dangerous. sometimes, the application breaks down deleting the original and not creating the encrypted files.

hy!i downloaded this program today and i find out how it works in 10 minutes!you can encrypt files with a password or with a key. it's very easy. but you can encrypt whole folders unless you buy the whole edition. but you dont need to buy it anyway. it works just fine the free one.

Summary
I'm using different versions of Finecrypt already for 4 years, and this is the program which I always install second (after Sygate firewall) on a fresh Windows installation. I can describe it by a single word: it's the BEST. Note that besides free version of the program there is a commercial one, which has more rich functionality (and which I'm using).

Summary
Worked really well, was a small application with huge features and functionality. The really cool thing about this was that in the help file they tell you how you can check this program for compliance with NIST standards. In other words, you can make it certain that this program performs really secure encryption without "tricks" and "backdoors".

"Unbelievable product and support!"

Summary
I'm using FineCrypt already for two years and encrypting with it all my sensitive files. Several days ago my hard disk crashed and all my files were lost. Using file recovery software I managed to recover most of lost files, but almost all of them were restored with errors and among them several encrypted FineCrypt archives with extremely valuable information (corrupted files cannot be decrypted). And guys from FineCrypt support have helped me to restore all my archives with minimal loss of data! Your software is great and you are doing a great job, folks! Thank you!
