Version: Filseclab Personal Firewall Professional Edition 3.0.0.16
"One of the best!!!"
Pros: AgnitumOutpost/Free-Edition has been my favourite for a while, but this may change my mind. Filseclab may use a bit more ram than AO, but this was a lot easier to apply the rule-set. You can import rulesets, save current or restore the default-rules. This is now recognized by SecurityCentre and it can be set to automatically recognize Windows applications. Highly configurable for P2P and gamers and advanced rulesets. Definitely the most user-friendly firewall I've tested. Unless this fails, Outpost will stay on the back-burner as this one still gets up-dated. By the way, this can be updated at the website or automatically check per scheduling!!!
Cons: A little heavy on System Resources but better than most!!! No problems otherwise...

come from eastern Europe and take a while to catch on this side of the pond. From what I've seen in their forums, they are more driven to be the best rather than the richest, as they have a lot more competition over there. This f/w is easier to set up than ZoneAlarm and as light as XP/SP2 f/w. Can't believe it's free....it's better than the ones that I paid for!!!

thanks for the review and follow up......... that makes a few peoples opinions i respect with positive feed back on this firewall. which i understand is widely used in europe. i never end my serch for security apps that let me stay in control and reviews by you and other regular contributers keep me in the hunt for stuff that works without trying to take over my pc........ thanks again

this is definitely the easiest and most user-friendly firewall I've used, free or paid...does not conflict with any dLos, even betas!!! Uses only 6Mb of ram so other than flashing icon, it is the most unobtrusive firewall yet....EASY GOING DONATE-WARE THAT IS COMPARABLE TO HIJACKTHIS....INVISIBLE TIL YOU NEED ASSISTANCE!!!!!!!!
