"Full-screen watermark renders free versoin useless"

    July 28, 2015  |   By rhormazar

    Version: Filmora 5.1.1

    Pros

Don't know. Removed program as soon as I tested the video export. I expected a watermark, but the HUGE watermark just makes the program be unusable.

    Cons

Biggest watermark I've ever seen in my life. (not kidding)

"IF I COULD RATE "minus stars" I WOULD"

    July 17, 2015  |   By PAKALUS CAMEL

    Version: Filmora 5.1.1

    Pros

Nothing. Do get get this piece of crap it ain't free, did hours of editing and found ginormous watermark on video after the export. Complete bulls***, I will call Shrek to penetrate through the bodies all who made this program right up so it comes out of their mouths.

    Cons

EVERYTHING! SHREK IS ON HIS WAY

    Summary

    Waste of time.

    "Not quite there yet"

    June 17, 2015  |

    Version: Filmora 5.1.1

    Pros

Easy to use, similar to iMovie with a bit more features.

    Cons

Not put together properly, some breakdown of audio and things just don't fit together perfectly.

    Summary

I was doing a video in iMovie and realised I couldn't add text wherever I wanted. Decided to get a dedicated video editor so did some research. Wondershare had its fair share of haters and lovers, but I decided to take the plunge. After I got it, I realised it feels exactly the same as iMovie, but isn't put together as perfectly. I had crackling audio and had problems adjusting the transition effects duration. After spending a few hours on it, I called it quits and regretted not trying it before i paid for it. If you're not too fussy, wondershare is ok for people without iMovie. If you have mac, don't waste your money.

I solved my text problem. Go to photoshop, remove the background and add any text you desire and save as a transparent PNG. During this time, I also discovered some new features in iMovie.

"Pretty package, not good for talkies."

    April 9, 2015  |   By ofenjen

    Version: Filmora 5.1.1

    Pros

Lots of fun features: fades, transitions, picture-in-picture, etc.
Would be perfect for videos with no voice track.

    Cons

Audio/Video don't sync when editing and occasionally jumps around after splitting video clips.

    Summary

I'm a long-time vlogger that was in need of a few more options than offered by Windows Movie Maker. My videos tend to be pretty straight forward with an intro, an outro, occasional photo insertions and a little bit of music, so all I want is a basic video editor with a couple of bells and whistles that isn't too complicated to learn. Wondershare seemed to have everything I wanted. The features are fun to play with and easy to understand, with drag and drop and fun transitions, picture-in-picture, etc. Unfortunately, the audio/video from inserted videos do not play in sync while editing, which makes the editing process not only frustrating but impossible if you're working on a speaking video like a vlog. When pausing to edit, it's impossible to tell exactly where the progress line has stopped and I've even had it jump backward a few seconds on the timeline. Accurate pausing is a feature that's absolutely crucial if you want to edit out pauses, mistakes, etc.

After doing some searching around about the syncing issue to make sure the problem wasn't on my end, I found several useful reviews online that include the exact issue I was experiencing as a "con."

I'm giving Wondershare Video Editor three stars because it would be fantastic for non-speaking videos. If Wondershare can resolve the audio/video sync issue during editing, I would definitely give it another try. Speaking videos are all I would use it for, so until then, it's definitely not for me.
