"Best free FTP tool for power users"
Version: FileZilla Client 3.5.1
Pros
Very comprehensive feature set.
Easy to use, got it working and connected to my web host in 5 min.
Site Manager is a great feature.Cons
It should auto-refresh periodically so file list stays live.
I little harder to use than the GUI-friendly tools, but good for power users. -
"Simple on my mac"
Version: FileZilla Client 3.4.0
Pros
The connection is quick and precise. The files that have to go in are clearly delineated - and it gives you immediate feedback on whether individual files have uploaded or not.
Cons
You have to know what files you are taking from and putting into.
Summary
I like it. It makes ftp transfers from a mac to a windows-based webhost work simply!
-
"Easy-to-use FTP client."
Version: FileZilla Client 3.4.0
Pros
Very straight-forward. Shows progress of transfer. Reliable.
Cons
No major issues. Oriented for a Linux/Unix-savvy user.

"Frecking ugly"
Version: FileZilla Client 3.4.0
Pros
Probably fast enough.
Cons
Ugly as sin.
Summary
The description says the interface is "straightforward". That's a nonsense considering how cluttered and polluted the UI is. Utterly poor UI design that needs to go on Hoarders and have everything thrown away while it cries on national TV.
Go look at Cyberduck - it's also open-source, but it isn't vomitously hideous. -
"can't compare to Windows version"
Version: FileZilla Client 3.4.0-beta1
Pros
free, free, free, free,,,,
Cons
not really work for me.....maybe I did something wrong but lost patience after several try
-
"It just works!"
Version: FileZilla Client 3.4.0-beta1
Pros
It just works
Ability to FTP securely
Cross platform
FreeCons
That I can't set up a site profile until I have all the info (unlike Dreamweaver). Too text-heavy for my low-literacy students to use.

"Far more user friendly than cyberduck or fetch"
Version: FileZilla Client 3.3.5.1
Pros
Love the dual screen layout with the drag-n-drop interface.
Logical layout of screen with all of the information needed at your fingertips.
Setting up and remembering sites is a breeze and highly customizable.Cons
Tends not to be as fast on uploads as fetch
Summary
All of the information you need is right on the screen. One one side are your local folders and on the other are your remote folders. These are navigable via point-and-click. Below these are the contents of the folders. Fully drag-n-drop to the other side in order to initiate a get/put command. Wonderful.
Setting up sites organizes the options fluidly and sensibly. Easy to do.
For a quick and dirty transfer of a group of files. I use it regularly for moving a limited number of large files. -
"my favorite"

Does everything you need from an FTP software.
It's FREE.
no need to install it over and over if it's already on a flash drive just plug in and go!Cons
there were none!
Summary
Strongly recommend it to everyone! very easy to use.
Did I mention it's FREE? -
"Not the most intuitive interface, but it does the job."
