"A great solution to a persistent problem"

    February 23, 2007  |   By stuff4bt

    Version: FileChute 2.5.8

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I am very impressed, on initial usage of this product, with its ease of use and quality. It works! For ages I have struggled with (usually) other peoples' email account limits and have had hit and miss affairs with expensive web based options to transfer files, and more misses than hits with free web-based options and their limitations.

For a small price this application has replaced all that thrashing about and worry about recipients receving stuff or not. Thanks for this tremendous tool. I can rest secure now that file transfers will happen and happen securely.

    "Simple, Smart Utility"

    Version: FileChute 2.5.8

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've used FileChute personally for about 2 months and have recommended it to several friends already. It's a simple, elegant solution to a recurring problem, sending big files around the internet that don't always fit in an email. Very nice.

"FileChute is great for emailing photos or video..."

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have found that FileChute is great for emailing photos and video clips to family and friends! You simply drag the photos or video clips to the icon that looks like a chute. Filechute zips the group of photos or video clips for you. You then drag the email link it generates to your email message. Because you you are sending a link and not the photos or videos directly, the message size is very small. The person(s) receiving the email simply clicks on the link to download the photos or video clips to their computer. It does not matter if they have a PC or Mac. Elegant and simple to use!

"HERE ARE THE 10 STARS FILECHUTE DESERVES: **********"

    January 23, 2007  |   By NickyCee

    Version: FileChute 2.5.8

    Summary

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I am a video producer and have to push files up to 250 MB everyday. I have a high end FTP both internal and external. Great right? NO. Half the people I deal with (mostly clients) are _so_ computer illiterate that it is truly shocking they can survive in modern business. I had a client yesterday who didn't know how to change a cell in Excel - no formula here - just add a number to cell. Back to the review: Before FileChute, I had to spend much time on the phone explaining how to download and open files from my FTP. I had programs, download instructions, FTP software, and more to make the transfer. Many times, it would still not work and I had to FedEx the file. Frustrating? Beyond description!

With FileChute, I drag and drop upload to my .Mac server (slow up and down but what can you do), FileChute generates a link, email the link, dummy client clicks on said link, and file downloads. DONE. This program should be bundled with the .Mac package - it is flawless and a true lifesaver.

I have told at least 100 fellow Mac users about it and ALL are very happy I did.
