You can choose the number of split files or just specify the size you want each piece to be. When you want to merge split files, the browser only shows one of the pieces, so you don't have to think about which one to grab. File Splitz handles multiple file types and sizes, including oversized, graphics-heavy PDF files.
Unlike some file splitters, this one can't create self-uniting files. If you want to send your files via e-mail or on a CD, recipients will need to have a copy of the free program to merge them. Even so, File Splitz is a great choice for users who want a minimum of fuss when managing oversized files.

"Didn't work on large files"

Works well on small files
Cons
Didn't work on a large video file of 4.8GB. I split it into 4 parts and the recombined file was only 890MB containing only part of the footage. Don't know what he limit is.

Pros
Its very simple to set up and use. All you do is click split, select the file and where to save it, then put in either size of the splits or the number and speed and then click start, it take less than a minute and joining them is just as easy. Love the program and it will be in my Program File for a long time.
