Version: File Renamer Basic 5.6.2
Pros: I love the prior version of this software, which I ran on windows XP.
Cons: I downloaded this newer version for Windows Vista and not only haven't gotten it to work, it completely stalls my new laptop. I can't get it installed and running.:(
Summary: I would really love it IF I could use it, but have not figured out how to make it install and run, so I really HATE it. I MISSs it because I used the prior version on XP and LOVED it. read more

"usable program for renameing lots of files"
Pros: fairly easy to use and changes large amount of files quickly
Cons: when renameing large amount of files does'nt find all of the files in the folder

Version: File Renamer Basic 5.6.2
Pros: Easy interface, powerfully quick, and doesn't hog CPU time. By far the easiest way to organize files with same names. Plenty of customizable options to make it easy for you to sort. BEST EVER.
Cons: I didn't find it until now... NOTHING bad at all to say.
Summary: I can't praise it enough. YOu have to use it to believe me .. but it won't be a waste of time. read more

Version: File Renamer Basic 5.6.2
"Easy to use, free and effective."
Pros: I love the ease in which I can change my file names for my digital photos. It's also free.
Cons: No cons at this time, I have used the renamer for years both at home and at work.
Summary: Choose a prefix, or a new file type, keep your file name or change your file name, chage to lower case, it does it all and it's free. I use this program for my digital photo's. I usually have large volumes of files I need to change at one time. I ... read more

"Doesn't even load on my Windows Vista Laptop"
Pros: N/A - doesn't even load.
Cons: Splash screen loads, application doesn't... not on my version of Windows Vista anyway
Summary: If you aren't running Vista fine, otherwise avoid. read more
